My Girly Weekend

This weekend I spent every minute doing girly things. John spent the weekend with friends in Ohio at a golf tournament, so my weekend was free and I started to make plans. Friday night I went to see Sex and the City (which was really good) and honestly, the movie theater felt like a huge sleepover filled with giddy ladies! Everyone was so excited to see how Carrie let her wedding get bigger than Big and I have to admit it was wonderful to see my old friends, Carrie, Miranda, Samantha, and Charlotte again. Saturday I had a bridal shower to attend in Columbus, Indiana, so I decided to take in the outlets that are just 10 minutes north of Columbus. It was a good thing that I had to be at the shower at 4:30 because it made me leave the outlets. The bridal shower I attended was for my friend Leslie, my friend from college and Alpha Phi. It was fun to be around all of the sassy women in her family and I visited with my friend Erin, another fellow Alpha Phi. I returned home to many episodes of "Step It Up and Dance" that I recorded on my DVR. I plopped myself on the couch and watched the DVR marathon I had recorded. I made sure to get plenty of beauty rest and slept in on Sunday. I slowly made it over to my apartment pool (my first visit!), soaked up some sunshine, and read. Because my weekend wasn't filled with enough girly activities, I returned from the pool and ran errands all over town for Keenan's baby shower. It was so nice to have a low-key weekend with the perfect mix of productive activities and relaxtion...I feel refreshed for the week to start (and for the new David Sedaris book to come out)!
