Today is a big day, a defining day if you will. No one got married, no babies born, no lottery tickets won, no Justin Timberlake concert tickets bought, but I've heard this day is up there with the most life-defining moments one can experience. Tonight, I got DVR.
I was on the phone with my friend Megan when I found all this life-defining stuff out. The DVR men arrived at my door when I was chatting on the phone with her. I told her what I was getting and she said, "Oh my gosh. This is a really important day. I had no idea how important the day was at the time, but now my life has changed." Talk about a build-up!
I took instruction from the DVR guys and now I am all set. I can record Oprah while I'm working, Conan if I need a good laugh, Jon & Kate Plus 8 marathons when I feel like seeing the most adorable little kids, and American Idol when it starts to consume every American's television set every night of the week. I feel free!
