February Fun

Hi sisters readers. I’m not sure if anyone reads this besides my sisters anymore, but I guess I will still try to write every now and then. My California dreamin’ has come true – I am officially going to California in less than a few weeks. I randomly bust out in song and belt “Californiiiiiiiiiiiia here we coooooooooooome” just like they do on the OC. It is an instant mood-lifter. You should try it, even if you aren’t going. It might work for you. Before I go, I have to figure out what to pack, get a little shopping done, and try not to have a panic attack before/during flight. I always get so pumped to travel, but then I think about sitting on an airplane and it totally deflates my balloon of excitement. I even saw someone on TV on an airplane the other day and it made me very anxious. Ahhh! I can do it. I can do it for California, right? That is what I always have to tell myself. I have done it for Europe, Atlanta, Florida, Outer Banks and so many others, but it is still hard to do. I have a lot to do before I leave, so that leaves little idle time for me to think. Please don’t remind me about earthquakes either. When did I become such a stressball? There are so many exciting things are around the corner that I will try to concentrate on: the Superbowl, Valentine’s Day, my sister’s birthday, and the Guy Davis Concert are all before I leave! Before I know it, I will be singing “Californiaaaaaaaaaaa here I cooooooooooooome” on the airplane as I self-medicate with lots of wine and my song will become an unrecognizable slur.

My office is getting pretty rowdy for the Superbowl. I’m not a hardcore fan or anything, but I’d love to see the Colts win. I bought my first Colts t-shirt yesterday because it is Colts week at work and has been for the past few weeks and I am tired of wearing the same darn blue sweater. My co-workers are decorating the office and we are having a “cube décor” contest. Ya know what else? I get to watch the Superbowl game early. Yep – at the office. An official football game is planned between the Colts and the Bears on the Xbox. Haha, are we supposed to crowd around the TV and cheer? I feel like I am in a real-life episode of The Office – and I like it!

California Dreamin'

I am sitting at work (coincidentally working on a big CA report) I can’t stop thinking about how I am planning a trip out to California to visit my friend, Jillian. My mind keeps wandering off and I catch myself thinking about blue waters, the Pacific Coast Highway, oceanside cliffs, wineries, beautiful California state parks, flowers, palm trees…and sunshine. I haven’t felt warm sunshine in so long. It is that time of year when the cold kills any memory of spring or summer. I can’t wait for the fresh breezes, flip flops, and beautiful landscapes. I’m craving to smell, see, and hear the ocean and dig my feet into some sand. I’ve always thought that I might live out in California at some point in my life. I think it will agree with me very well. I need and want to be close to home right now, but California tempts me like no other place. Until then, I will be California dreamin’.

Happy "Worst Day of the Year"

W + (D-d) x TQ
———————————
M x NA

Don't know what that formula means? Click here. This mumble jumble decides how bad your day will be tomorrow. Tomorrow is officially declared "the worst day of the year." I think we all should have work off to decrease the effects of this day. Why is tomorrow so bad!?!

I'M SCARED!

I read a few reports that "the worst day of the year" is actually today and I hope it just passed by all of you. Maybe the worst is over and we didn't even have to know. Unless you are reading this on the 24th and your day isn't going well - then, I'm sorry. I guess your "worst day" is today. Let me know if anything bad happens to any of you, I'd like to know if these experts are really on to something.

Read more about the impending doom here:

*Some states like FL, CA, and Texas may be exempt from this madness due to their wonderful sunny weather.

*update - I have verified that the worst day of the year was yesterday. Whew. Get up and dance! But for real, did y'all have bad days or what?

Bizzare

I just came across the weirdest thing – pet scuba diving. I am honestly speechless and not quite sure what to say about all of this.

Happy Weekend

I am a major animal lover, but since I've seen this picture this afternoon, I can't stop laughing. It is a tad bit disturbing that the cat with its head in the dog's mouth looks like my kitties, but I got over it when I saw the baby kitten's face.

Isn't that expression priceless? I feel like it is saying "WHAT!!!" and is in total shock.

This home is like a circus. The dog is eating the cat, the cat just seems really perturbed, not scared, the kitten is scared out of his mind, and the owner is just chomping on a ham sandwich. And I've got to mention the fact that someone else was there with a camera in their hand to capture this madness. So many things going on in this picture and the only being that seems to care is the kitten. Poor little guy! The only thing that would make this picture crazier would be to see the mysterious sandwich eater shove his food in his mouth like Monte-conda. Then this would all be too much.

Good Call, Ky

Here is a sweet boy, singing a sweet song. Sooo cute! I love how he sings with only his bottom lip.
